Bio Orokos, city of change. Reality-bending storms switch roads, turn eyes into diamonds, give powers and ruin lives. In a world full of chaos, the harsh Protectorate keeps order by shutting the poor, the sick, and the convicted into ghettos. Although Moa was not born into a ghetto, the rebel town of Kilatas - her home - was not, unfortunately, much better off. When her mother was taken away and her father committed suicide, she went looking for a fragment of hope in the ghettos - and found Rail. Rail, a boy who's breath had been stolen by the probability storms. Who took her in and cared for her, taught her to steal in a dog-eat-dog world. They became a family for each other - two lonely souls connected. Then they found the artifact which changed their lives and brought them head-to-head with the Protectorate. Despite the hard life she's had, Moa is a kind, trusting person. She is generally fairly complacent, content to follow, but when she gets an idea in her head, there's no shaking it. The one thing she clings to above all is hope. Her arrival in Discedo was marked by Sniffer Dogs and Puppet Doctors trying to kill her. She was rescued by Link, who took her to his apartment. She is currently trying to settle into life in Discedo, with the world, as usual, changing all around her.
